About Bill

A collector for over 30 years and a dealer for 20 years, Bill Longley operates Longley Auctions, a public auction company that sells stamps, stamp collections, postal history, postcards and old correspondences. The firm’s specialty is early Canadian postage stamps as well as postal history.

Bill is married with three children, is a graduate of the University of Toronto (B.Sc.) Personally, he collects dozens of small areas of Canadian philately and has built one of the finest philatelic libraries in existence. His sideline collection of Uruguay’s Cifras issue was exhibited for the first time at the CSDA/GTAPA Fall Stampex where it won a Gold Medal, APS Medal of Excellence and the Grand Award. Not bad for a first-time exhibitor!

Bill is a member and past Vice President of the Canadian Stamp Dealers Association, a member of BNAPS, RPSC, PHSC(life), PHS, CPS of GB, APS and numerous other societies.
